  1. Vieille Charite

Hundreds of years ago, exactly in the 17th century, this place functioned as a charity house and overtime was transformed into a museum and a commercial center.

The site went through several facets where it was abandoned and retaken again in the 70s.

Today it is the place where you can find two of the most important places of interest, the Museum of Archaeology and the Museum of Art of Africa, Oceania, and Amerindian, where you can even see human skulls from South America and masks from Africa.

The courtyard of the complex includes a baroque chapel that is said to be the most original design by architect Pierre Puget.

  1. Palais Longchamp

This impressive monument was created to celebrate the construction of the Marseille Canal and is one of the favorite tourist destinations in the area.

The beautifully decorated building opened in 1869 after its construction took 30 years.

At night, the building gives the tourist a spectacular scene because it is fully illuminated.

In the place, you can find the Museum of Natural History and Fine Arts of the City, part of the complex includes the Parc Longchamp, one of the most remarkable gardens in France.
